The story is about Anwar Sheikh, a fish farmer of Dighlia village
Anwar Sheikh, who went to Dubai to try to improve his fortune, lost his job due to Corona and returned home empty-handed in 2020. On the advice of neighboring fish farmer Monir Mollah, he approached the Directorate of Fisheries, Dighlia with the dream of becoming a fishery entrepreneur. In a long discussion with Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Mr. Mohammad Manjurul Islam, he informed that he is interested in fish farming in Bioflow. The fisheries officer advised him to invest less capital instead of going to bioflow and to produce fingerlings of roe fish to learn fish farming better. After that, Anwar did not have to look back. At present he is doing fish nursery in 04 enclosures of about 6 acres. His total production in 2022 was about 304 tons! Currently, he has created employment opportunities for about 10 people in his circle besides being self-reliant. With the technical support of the Department of Fisheries, he is now a successful fishery entrepreneur!
