Vision and Mission

The Department of Fisheries works under the Government of Bangladesh and deals with issues related to fisheries production and trade. The Mission And Vision of the Department of Fisheries is to create a life line in the fisheries sector of the country, to increase the country's fish production by imparting technology and training in building a developing fisheries sector and to provide safe fish to the people. In addition, the Department of Fisheries is working tirelessly to ensure the safe and sustainable reproduction of indigenous open water fish while increasing the production of quality and safe fish by creating a self-reliant and flexible administrative and technical network in the fisheries sector. In addition to ensuring food security and economic development of the country's people in combination with social and financial development, the Department of Fisheries works to protect the health of the people and the entire environment of the world in all fisheries sectors. Also, the Department of Fisheries creates a well-organized network so that the country's fisheries production and distribution can be properly managed. The mission and vision of the Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer's Office as an upazila level administrative and executive unit of the Department of Fisheries is as follows:-

 

Vision:

To meet the demand for animal meat from fish sources through increased safe fish production, poverty alleviation and increase in export earnings and ensuring the sustainability of natural fisheries.

Mission:

By increasing the sustainable and safe production of other aquatic resources including fish and shrimp, meeting the country's nutritional needs and increasing export income, and through the benefits obtained through the proper management of open water bodies with the participation of vulnerable people, the desired development of the poor fishermen and fish farmers as well as the socio-social sector of Bangladesh.
