Distribution of alternative employment materials among hilsa fishermen (1st Allotment)

Bakna calves were distributed among 16 Hilsa fishermen in Dighlia Upazila as an alternative employment tool under the 2023-24 Hilsa Resource Development and Management Project. Mr. Sheikh Maruful Islam, Honorable Chairman of Upazila Parishad, was present as the chief guest. All members of Upazila Project Implementation Committee, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad, public representatives and dignitaries, all officers and employees of Upazila Fisheries Department and beneficiary fishermen were present in the event. After the distribution of cows, an awareness meeting was held with the fishermen about Jatka conservation.
